The principle activity of Tritex is the design, development and subsequent manufacture of circular knitting machines, aimed almost entirely at niche product markets in the textile and wire industries. These 'special' machines are in addition to the 'standard' range described in the company's literature.
The machines range from 5mm diameter to 30" (762mm) diameter in gauges to 28 N.P.I. and are available in various configurations, producing a wide range of fabric structures with a diverse range of materials. In addition knit braiding, braiding, small flat knitting and ancillary (non-knitting) machinery, are available for the knitting and wire industries.
Tritex have formed many 'partnership' alliances with customers where the expertise of the customer with their individual products is combined with the machine design and manufacturing skills of Tritex, to generate highly successful products for the particular benefit of the customers. Many of these are subject to confidentiality, which of course Tritex honour.
